The Speech-Language Pathology program offers a 75-credit hour program beginning in the summer semester. Our curriculum spans 6 semesters for full-time students. For prospective applicants, we are unable to accommodate one-on-one tours or meetings, but we do offer an annual open house. We currently have a limited number of graduate assistantships. If you are accepted into our program, there is a $200 acceptance fee. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Communication Disorders will begin accepting applications for the Masters of Speech-Language Pathology each fall for admittance the following summer.
The Speech-Language Pathology program uses CSDCAS in its application process.
Timeline for application
Applications received and verified by January 27th will be given priority. Applications received after priority deadlines will be considered on a space available basis. Speech-Language Pathology Admission Requirements in Addition to the Application
LSUHSC offers the following required prerequisite courses to non-background students:
All transcripts must show successful completion of courses in psychology or social sciences, physical sciences, biological sciences, and statistics (as required for ASHA certification).

Transfer Credit Policy
The Masters in Speech-Language Pathology program will not accept transfer of Speech-Language Pathology coursework taken by an applicant in any other MS, MA, or MCD program. Applicants who have left a different program will need to apply to begin with the next cohort and take all classes in the LSUHSC-New Orleans Speech-Language Pathology curriculum.
